How does Reiki benefit your pet?
Reiki helps balance your pet physically, mentally, emotionally, and even spiritually. Working with the chakras to balance their natural energy, Reiki brings clarity, peace and relaxation and can help reduce or eliminate pain. Because Reiki is an energy balancing modality, it will never harm your pet.
· Reiki can help release and heal your dog, cat, bird or other pet's emotions, especially if they have issues due to a traumatic situation such as neglect, an abusive past, or an accident. (Reiki is often used to help animals who have come from rescues.)
· For behavioral issues such as nervousness or hyperactivity, Reiki can help your pet relax and reduce their stress and anxiety.
· If your pet is sick or injured, Reiki can help your pet self-heal more quickly.
· Reiki can help bring comfort and be a great compliment to conventional treatment if your pet is facing an terminal illness, or close to the end of their time with us.
What does your pet feel during Reiki?
· Reiki is given to your pet by chanelling the energy flow through my hands. The session may start out with my hands at my side or slightly out in front. This allows your pet to see and feel my intent. Your pet will indicate his/her comfort level at this point.
· Hands can also be placed directly on your pets body but if your pet is not comfortable with that, Reiki can be given with the hands an inch or so from the body or at a distance. Some animals prefer to start out at a distance, and most will come closer once they see that no harm is intended. The energy will still flow from my hands to where it is needed. *The practitioner is not doing the healing, but the Reiki flowing through them is.* A practitioner is simply a channel for this healing energy.
· Some animals will just stand still during the Reiki session. However, most will position their bodies showing me exactly where they want my hands to be (for example: their head, side, or back).
A Reiki session for your pet does not diagnose any medical problems, but helps to rebalance their energy, allowing for self-healing. If you require a medical diagnosis, please consult with your vet.
